WHO IS DANNY HOOPER?
Danny Hooper has spent a lifetime honing his skills as a professional Master of Ceremonies. As a scrawny, not-very-athletic school kid, he learned early on the power of a lightning-fast sense of humour, spending many hours entertaining and fending off school bullies with his razor-sharp wit and unique style of comedy.
You could say the art of communication has always come naturally to Danny. At the age of 12, he successfully beat out over 5000 other competitors from across North America to win the first place scholarship at the Optimist International Speaking Competition held in Missoula, Montana. From there it was on to many high school Speech and Debate championships at the provincial and national levels.
Following high school Danny earned his living for many years as a country music recording artist and entertainer, performing on the Grand Ole Opry, at Disneyland, and for seven consecutive years in Las Vegas during the National Finals Rodeo. He has also hosted his own television series on CMT. These years were an incredible education for a young entertainer who, as Danny likes to say, graduated with "a degree in street smarts from the school of hard knocks!"
